Volleyball World League 2000

The 2000 season of the volleyball world league was the eleventh edition of the competition. It started on May 26th and ended on July 16th. Italy won the title for the eighth time.

mode

The preliminary round ("intercontinental round") was held in three groups of four teams each. The top two teams in each group should qualify for the final round. However, as the hosts Netherlands finished last in the group, the second in group B did not advance. The two best teams of the final round reached the final, the third and fourth of the group of six played for third place.
