Martina Hoffmann-Badache

Martina Hoffmann-Badache (born March 6, 1956 in Heinsberg ) is a German psychologist and ministerial official . From 2013 to 2017 she was State Secretary in the Ministry for Health, Emancipation, Care and Old Age of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1974 at the Kreisgymnasium in Heinsberg, Hoffmann-Badache began studying psychology at the Ruhr University in Bochum , which she graduated in 1979 with a degree in psychology. From 1980 to 1981 she worked at the advice center for education and life issues of the Caritas Association and at the Evangelical Advice Center in Bochum . From 1982 to 1999 she worked full-time at the Psychosocial Support Association Solingen eV, from 1990 to 1999 as chairwoman of the board. From 1999 to 2013 she worked for the Regional Council of Rhineland for Social Affairs and Integration .

She also worked on a voluntary basis in various institutions, including as chairwoman of the Rheinische Gesellschaft für Soziale Psychiatrie (1983–1985) and as chairwoman of the Rhineland Community Psychiatry Working Group (1988–1995). From 1989 to 1994 she was an expert citizen and from 1994 to 1998 a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Rhineland Regional Assembly . From 1994 to 1998 she was a member of the enlarged parliamentary group of the Alliance Green Council member of the city of Solingen .

In December 2013, Prime Minister Hannelore Kraft appointed her State Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Emancipation, Care and Old Age of North Rhine-Westphalia. She held this position until summer 2017.

Martina Hoffmann-Badache lives in Solingen and is married.
