Martina Kempff

Martina Kempff (born May 17, 1950 in Stuttgart ) is a German writer and translator. She mainly writes historical novels and regional thrillers from the Eifel .

life and work

After numerous changes of residence due to her father's diplomatic activities (she lived in Bonn , San Francisco , Berlin and Helsinki , among others ), she obtained her higher education entrance qualification at Schloss Plön boarding school . This was followed by a traineeship in Neumünster and working as an editor for the Berliner Blatt Der Abend and the Berliner Morgenpost . She worked as a reporter for Welt in Bonn and Bunten in Offenburg. In 2007 she made an appearance alongside Johannes Fried in an episode of Planet Wissen .

The Central Franconian Youth Literature Committee of the Education and Science Union rates Die Rebellin as recommendable.

Martina Kempff has spent most of her life abroad, mainly in Greece and the Netherlands, lived in the Eifel for seven years, which inspired her to write a series of Eifel thrillers, and now lives in the Bergisches Land .
