Martinusweg
The Martinusweg is a pilgrimage route opened on April 15, 2011 . It runs through the diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg in one main route and four secondary routes and is to be continued in the future via the archdiocese of Freiburg and the dioceses of Mainz and Trier to France. The Martinusweg is at The Saint Martin of Tours Route , a European Cultural Route , connected and a branch line to the Via Sancti Martini , which from the birthplace of the saint of Tours Martin in Hungarian Szombathely to his grave lay in the French Tours leads. With about 1200 kilometers, the Martinusweg is one of the longest connected pilgrimage and hiking trails in Germany.
Main way
The main path leads from Tannheim to Schwaigern and is around 535 kilometers long. On the section from Erholzheim to Ochsenhausen, the Martinusweg is congruent with the Main-Danube-Bodensee-Weg .

The regional route south runs from Oberteuringen to Biberach an der Riß and has a distance of about 264 kilometers.

Regional route north (Jagst – Kocher)
The regional route north leads from Bad Mergentheim to Heilbronn and stretches for about 92 kilometers.

The regional route Mitte runs from Zwiefalten to Rottenburg am Neckar with about 99 kilometers.

Regional route south-west (Danube – Heuberg)
The regional route south-west leads from Sigmaringendorf to Hechingen over a distance of about 131 kilometers. The path coincides in parts with the Danube Cycle Path .

St. Martinus Community
The Martinusweg is looked after by the St.-Martinus-Gemeinschaft Rottenburg-Stuttgart e. V., which was founded in February 2012. The community has set itself the task of maintaining and enlivening the path with the help of the deaneries. The association currently has around 50 members (as of August 2014).
