Mathäus Lauck

Mathäus Lauck (born March 11, 1931 in Flörsheim am Main ) is a German local politician and holder of the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon . In 2011 he was made an honorary citizen of the city of Flörsheim am Main, the last appointment before him was in 1955.

Political career

At the age of 18 Lauck became a member of the CDU , in 1953 he became party chairman and held this position for 30 years. He was elected city ​​councilor in Flörsheim in 1960. Between 1968 and 1989 he was an honorary city ​​councilor , and in 1968 he was elected to the district council of the Main-Taunus district . In his position as city councilor, he was a member of the main and finance committee as well as the building, transport and environmental committee, partly as chairman. In 1997 he took over the chairmanship of the district council of the Main-Taunus-Kreis. At the end of March 2001, Lauck resigned his mandate as city councilor in Flörsheim, and since spring 2011 he has no longer been a member of the district council.

Private

Lauck grew up in a family with a total of six children, he himself has three children and seven grandchildren . He has been married to his wife Liesel since 1958. Lauck graduated in mechanical engineering in 1956 and became a development engineer, later he was sales manager on the German and European market for 30 years .
