Mathias Loris

Mathias Loris (born December 21, 1951 in Giarmata , Romania ) is a music teacher , trumpeter , orchestra conductor and composer . He lives in Osthofen , Rhineland-Palatinate .

Life

Mathias Loris is the fourth conductor of the Loris Festival Kapellmeister dynasty, known in the Romanian Banat in the 20th century . His great-grandfather Peter Loris founded the band in 1908. He got his first knowledge of music from his grandfather Ignatz Loris (1905–1971) and his father Mathias Loris sen. (1927-2001) transmitted. In 1970 he graduated from the "Ion Vidu" music school in Timisoara , Romania, and took over the management of the Loris Chapel . From 1971, he studied in the Romanian Cluj trays trumpet at the Conservatory "Gheorghe Dima" methodology and didactics of teaching wind instruments. From 1971 to 1974 he worked as an orchestral trumpeter in Cluj-Napoca, and from 1974 to 1981 he taught trumpet, chamber music and music theory at the music school in Timisoara .

In 1984 Mathias Loris left Romania with his family and settled in Osthofen in Rhineland-Palatinate. Since then he has worked at various schools and clubs: 1984 to 1987 as a trumpet teacher at the Peter Cornelius Conservatory in Mainz ; 1987 as a teacher for brass instruments at the youth music school Rottenburg am Neckar ; from 1984 to 2016 as conductor of the church music association Osthofen; from 1985 to 2016 as a teacher for trumpet and wind instruments at the Municipal Music School Ludwigshafen am Rhein . At the same time he continued his education and attended the advanced training seminars: Trumpet Symposium Trossingen (1987); Brass Workshop Malte Burba (1988); Requirements for management staff in music schools (1993). After his arrival in Germany, Mathias Loris became involved as a trumpeter, arranger and later as orchestra leader in the Danube Swabian musicians dance orchestra . He also makes music in professional wind groups with whom he has toured the USA , Austria , Italy , Switzerland , France , the Netherlands and Belgium . Mathias Loris is also politically active in the city council of Osthofen and is an integral part of the Freundeskreis Donauschwäbischer Blasmusik e. V.
