Matt Long
Matthew "Matt" Long (born May 18, 1980 in Winchester , Kentucky ) is an American film and theater actor .
Life
Matt Long is the older of two brothers. He was already on stage in his school days. After attending college and Western Kentucky University , he moved to New York City .
In both New York and Williamstown ( Massachusetts ) he was on the theater stage until he was discovered and promoted by his current manager. After two supporting roles in independent films , he had his breakthrough in 2004 with the short-lived television series Jack & Bobby . Long last stood in front of the camera in 2007, alongside Nicolas Cage in the film Ghost Rider .
In the sixth season of Private Practice , he played the role of Dr. James Peterson , the friend of Caterina Scorsone's series character Amelia Sheperd .
Matt Long married his longtime girlfriend Lora Chaffins on April 23, 2005. The couple now live in Los Angeles .
