Matthias Heyder

Matthias Heyder (* 1972 in Elbingerode ) is a former German NPD politician. According to his own statements, he is a banker , he is said to have worked in the past few years as the owner of a temporary employment agency and most recently as an independent real estate agent . He was the top candidate of his party in the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 2011 . Heyder became known nationwide in March 2011 because of the suspicion that "Junker Jörg" had been in an Internet forum for seven years . a. To have written appeals to “desecrate” left-wing politicians as well as to attacks on train stations and instructions for building bombs, which resulted in LKA investigations and various criminal charges as well as political demands for a new NPD ban proceedings . The preliminary investigation against Heyder was closed in 2012. The NPD failed in the state election with 4.6 percent of the vote at the five percent hurdle . On October 22, 2011 Heyder was expelled from the NPD by the NPD Regional Arbitration Court of Saxony-Anhalt. He waived an appeal, although he alleged gross procedural errors in a statement.

Observation by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the “Popular Front” strategy in the state election campaign

According to the “Joint Situation Report of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Saxony-Anhalt and Brandenburg in 2009”, Heyder, in his function as state chairman and leader of the “reform-oriented forces” in the NPD, endeavored to create a “ Popular Front from the Right” as a “common right-wing extremist platform with the express involvement of Neo- National Socialists with the leadership of the NPD ”. It was already mentioned in the Federal Constitutional Protection Reports 2008 and 2007.

Criminal investigations into the Junker-Jörg affair

In mid-February 2011, the taz published it and other daily newspaper editors leaked "misanthropic, racist and neo-Nazi" emails "from inside the right-wing extremist party", the majority of which were sent between March 2010 and January 2011 and in which a "focus “Also lies in the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt on March 20, 2011. These included alleged emails from Hans Püschel, who was running for the NPD in third place behind Heyder, and from Heyder's press spokesman Michael Grunzel.

"Junker Jörg" used the same e-mail address as Heyder for e-mails from the NPD. The “Junkers” knowledge of NPD internals to which Heyder had access also indicated that Heyder was the authorship.

Heyder initially denied the allegations, but admitted in principle that he had written entries in a forum under the name "Junker Jörg", "but only temporarily", for his part announced criminal and civil law action and complained of alleged "data theft". In a statement published the day after the state elections, Heyder no longer explicitly denied the allegations, but wrote of "allegedly 60,000 scam emails as the first wave of attacks" and "as deep as possible spying" in connection with the "Junker-Jörg "-Affair. Even in a “declaration by the presidium” of the NPD, a “smear campaign by the media that was brought into line” was alleged, but the “Junker-Jörg” suspicion against Heyder was not denied.

According to the Minister of the Interior of Saxony-Anhalt Holger Hövelmann , the LKA is to investigate suspicion of sedition , the announcement of criminal offenses and the threat to public safety .
