Matthias Macher

Matthias Macher (also Mathias) (born January 8, 1793 in Oisnitz , Styria , † June 27, 1876 in Graz ) was an Austrian physician and writer . Several medical and medical history works come from him . In addition, he also published political treatises , contributions to Styrian history and poems.

Macher initially worked as a district physician in Mariazell from 1828 , but moved to Hartberg a year later . From 1850 to 1865 he worked as a district doctor in Stainz .
