Matthias Petsche

Matthias Petsche (* in the 20th century ) is a German film music composer, musician and producer.

Life

Matthias Petsche studied music theory and composition with Professor Gerhard Tittel at the HfM "Hanns Eisler Berlin" and discovered his particular interest in the musical setting of films. After completing his studies, he began studying film music and sound at the HFF "Konrad Wolf" . Even during his studies, Petsche set numerous short films to music and made contacts that would continue to work as a sound engineer and film composer after graduating.

Matthias Petsche created, among other things, the music for the Lola winners Was am Ende sucht (2009, directed by Julia von Heinz ) and Pianomania (2011, directed by Lilian Franck and Robert Cibis ), for Franka Potente’s directorial debut Der Tollkirsche Ausgräbt ( 2006) and for Matthias Luthardt's ping-pong , who won the SACD Award presented by the Association of French Authors and Composers in Cannes in 2006. The feature film Die Vermissten (director: Jan Speckenbach) with the soundtrack by Matthias Petsche celebrated its premiere at the 2012 Berlinale . Petsche also composed the music for the feature film fortress (2011, director: Kirsi Marie Liimatainen ), for Something Necessary (2013) and Veve (2014) from the Fine Day Films series initiated by Tom Tykwer and Marie Steinmann, as well as for the 70. The film Rosakinder produced for Rosa von Praunheim 's birthday .

Matthias Petsche is the head and founder of the band phonophobie and has already won several awards as a composer of autonomous music. He composes and produces music for commercials. In addition, he works as a lecturer in the field of music & computers. Matthias Petsche lives in Potsdam.
