action

16-year-old Paul recently lost his father. In search of an ideal world, he visits his relatives without prior notice, because they remind him of his carefree childhood days, and thereby penetrates the microcosm of an apparently happy family. After an initial reluctance, his aunt Anna begins to pull Paul over to her side. Paul seeks closer and closer to her and only realizes late that she is using him as a plaything - to which he reacts with an act of desperation.

criticism

"Haunting, coolly filmed character study about suppressed, controlled and erupting feelings and needs, which serve as a foil for an intense parable about a search for the ego, the pursuit of happiness and the adjustment to unhappiness."
