Mattis Cederberg

Mattis Cederberg (born August 18, 1971 in Falun ) is a Swedish jazz musician ( bass trombone , also tuba , cimbasso , composition ).

Act

Cederberg studied bass trombone at the Malmö Music Academy with Jan Mortensen . From 1996 he worked as a freelance musician. He played u. a. with Magnus Lindgren & the Swedish Radio Jazz Group ( Paradise Open ), Hector Bingert's Latin Lover Big Band , Monica Zetterlund , Lennart Åberg , Peter Asplund , but also with Tomas Ledin , The Ark , Lars Winnerbäck and Marie Fredriksson .

Since 2002 Cederberg has been a member of the WDR Big Band Cologne , with whom he has participated in numerous radio productions and albums with stars such as Joe Zawinul ( Brown Street ), McCoy Tyner , Patti Austin , Slide Hampton , Michael & Randy Brecker ( Some Skunk Funk , Grammy ), Joe Lovano , Toots Thielemans or BAP ( Full Program ) was involved. He also leads his own band Sonic Mechatronik Arkestra , with whom he released the albums Mechatronycon (2003) and Overunity (2006). He belongs to the Moserobie Jazz Label in Stockholm, for which he also works as a graphic designer.
