Max Alphonse Erismann

Max Alphonse Erismann (born December 4, 1847 in Seengen ; † July 24, 1923 there , reformed , entitled to live in Gontenschwil and Brugg ) was a Swiss politician (FDP) .

biography

Max Alphonse Erismann was born on December 4, 1847 in Seengen as the son of the doctor and Aargau Councilor Adolf Erismann and the Reinach- born manufacturer's daughter Elise, born Fischer. Erismann first completed a degree in forestry from 1865 to 1867 at the Zurich Polytechnic and at the Saxon Academy for Forestry and Agriculture .

As a result, from 1872 he was in charge of his father's cold-water spa in Brestenberg Castle in Seengen, which was known throughout Europe , before he sold it in 1921 and only kept the associated farm.

In addition, Erismann held directorships from 1890 to 1901 in the Swiss Central Railway (SCB) and from 1901 to 1923 in the Swiss Mobiliarversicherungsgesellschaft . He was also a member of the initiative committee for the Seetalbahn . In the Swiss Army he served in the position of a colonel in the artillery .

Max Alphonse Erismann, a nephew of Adolf Fischer , was married to Anna, née Schmid, who was born in Eriswil . He died on July 24, 1923 at the age of 76 in Seengen.

Political offices

Max Alphonse Erismann, a member of the Free Democratic Party, was a member of the Aargau Grand Council from 1878 to 1905, of which he was president between 1893 and 1894. In the parliamentary elections in 1887 , he succeeded in entering the National Council , to which he was a member until 1911.
