Max Grünert

Max Grünert (born October 13, 1849 in Brüx , Bohemia ; † February 10, 1929 in Prague ) was a Bohemian philologist and university lecturer in Prague and Leipzig .

Life

From 1869 Grünert first studied Classical Philology , then Oriental Studies at the University of Vienna . In 1874 he moved to the University of Leipzig to sign in Heinrich Leberecht Fleischer of Arabic turn. 1876 doctorate he in Leipzig for Dr. phil. As early as the next year, he qualified as a professor for Semitic languages ​​at the still undivided Charles University in Prague .
