Max Hofmann (journalist)

Max Hofmann (short for Maximilian Hofmann, * 1974 in Tübingen ) is a German journalist and moderator . Since August 1st, 2014 he has been working as a studio manager for Deutsche Welle in Brussels , Belgium .

Life

Hofmann first studied "Journalism et Communication" at the French journalism school CELSA in Paris , Île-de-France, and then journalism , economics , and North American studies at the Free University of Berlin , Germany .

From 2002 to 2003, he volunteered at Deutsche Welle . He was awarded the RIAS - Prize for New Media , which he in 2010 with Christoph Lanz for animation Walled! won. While still a student, he worked as a presenter for the rock broadcaster 87.9 Star FM in Berlin in 1999 and 2000 . He then switched to rbb -Welle Radio EINS , where he acted as the presenter of the programs The First Contact and Let's Rock . Between 2003 and 2006 Hofmann worked as a freelance reporter and presenter for DW-TV , Deutsche Welle's international television station, rbb television and Radio Multikulti , also from rbb.

From 2006 to 2010 he was an editor for the television director at DW-TV . During this time he moderated the programs Clipmania and Deutsche Beats . From 2010 Hofmann went to Washington, DC , United States, where he worked as a North American correspondent for Deutsche Welle for four years .
