Max Ruhbeck
Max Ruhbeck ( September 1, 1858 - November 2, 1945 ) was a German actor .
Life
Since the 1880s, Ruhbeck has worked on an abundance of theaters in the German provinces, including Görlitz , Nuremberg , the Stadttheater am Brausenwerth in Elberfeld and Hanover (Deutsches Theater). Sporadically, he was allowed to direct even before the First World War , for example at the Elberfeld City Theater. Resident in Dresden since the 1920s , he worked there primarily on comedy until 1933. In that year he accepted his last engagement at the Albert Theater in Dresden ; Max Ruhbeck retired in the 1930s.
From the mid-1910s, Ruhbeck appeared in Berlin for around a decade in an abundance of films. He shot with a number of respected directors, including Urban Gad , Richard Oswald , Otto Rippert , Felix Basch , Harry Piel , Paul Leni , Carl Boese , Leo Lasko , William Kahn and again and again Hubert Moest . In these artistically insignificant films, Ruhbeck often embodied high-ranking personalities, dignitaries and representatives from the nobility and big business. Max Ruhbeck finished his intensive film work as early as 1925.
