Max Schmidle (born January 2, 1985 in Kaufbeuren ) is a former German ice hockey player who was active for ESV Kaufbeuren for many years .
Career
Schmidle began his ice hockey career in the youngsters of ESV Kaufbeuren , where he went through several age groups and finally was in the squad of the professional team for the first time in the 2003/04 season . A year later, the center was already part of the regular squad and scored 14 points scorer in 61 games.
As a result, those responsible for the Hamburg Freezers became aware of Schmidle and transferred the then 22-year-old to the Hanseatic city, where the left-handed shooter was given a sponsorship license and mainly played for the Regensburg polar bears in the 2nd Bundesliga .
Max Schmidle had a contract in Hamburg until 2009 and also went on the ice for the Freezers in the 2008/09 season . He also had a production license with the Dresdner Eislöwen . In the summer of 2009 he moved to the Eislöwen, which he left after a year when he was signed by the Ravensburg Tower Stars from the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2012/13 season he moved within the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga and signed a contract with the Hanover Indians . After the season with the Hannover Indians he returned to ESV Kaufbeuren .
After 502 competitive games and a total of 10 seasons for the ESVK, Schmidle ended his career in March 2020.
