Max Stock (painter)

Max Stock (born May 6, 1948 in Hohenahlsdorf near Jüterbog as Jürgen Stock) is a German painter and graphic artist .

Life

After studying from 1968 to 1971 at the Berlin School of Advertising and Design , Max Stock worked as a painter and graphic artist in Berlin and Jüterbog . In 1984 he left the GDR with his wife, the author Doris Paschiller, and moved to Berlin-Kreuzberg , where he worked in a studio community on Mehringdamm . Since 1996 he has lived and worked in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg .

Works by Max Stock can be found in the collections of the Kupferstichkabinett Berlin , Neuer Berliner Kunstverein , Berlin State Museums and numerous private collectors.

In addition to panel painting, graphics and posters, Max Stock also created several large-format murals in Berlin together with fellow artists.
