Max Wallner
Max Wallner (born July 6, 1891 in Frankfurt am Main ; † May 27, 1951 in Mondsee , Austria ) was a German librettist , songwriter , composer and screenwriter .
Wallner received his doctorate in law and took over the commercial management of Moravia AG in Olomouc . After 1918 he trained as a musician in Vienna and resumed his interrupted music studies.
In 1925 he himself performed his operetta Die Verbotene Frau as a conductor . He then went to Italy, where Ku-Ku-Li followed in 1928 . After the low response to his compositions, he came to Berlin in 1928 and subsequently limited himself to writing texts. In 1932 he began working as a co-screenwriter. He created several operetta-like works and operetta adaptations, but also crime novels and comedies.
After the success of Fred Raymond's operetta season in Salzburg , to which Wallner had contributed the libretto together with Kurt Feltz , he concentrated more on this profession. Together with Feltz, he wrote the song Es geht alles vorüber, it all goes over, composed by Raymond in 1942 and made popular by the singer Lale Andersen .
