Kathleen Schöppe

Kathleen Schöppe (born December 16, 1982 in Naumburg (Saale) ) is a German weightlifter . It starts in the "+75 kg" weight class, which is open at the top . In 2002 she became a sports soldier in the German Federal Armed Forces in Bruchsal .

Her greatest successes include third place at the European Championships in Lignano in 2008 with 129 kg in the push, third place at the European Championships in 2006 in Władysławowo with 133 kg in the push and 238 kg in the duel, which meant 4th place. At the Junior European Championships in 2001 in Kalmar , she finished third with a duel of 200 kg.

At the European Championships 2009 in Bucharest she reached fifth place with 233 kg duel, 10th place at the 2009 World Championships with 237 kg duel and 6th place with 235 kg (= 102 kg + 133 kg) at the 2010 European Championships . At the 2010 World Championships, it increased to 242 kg (= 106 kg + 136 kg) in a duel, but that meant only 13th place in the overall ranking and 11th place jogging.

On March 17, 2012 in Chemnitz, she improved Monique Riesterer's more than eleven-year-old record in pushing by 500 g to 138 kg.
