Max Wockatz
Max Wockatz (born September 25, 1898 in Rothnaußlitz , † in Brandenburg an der Havel ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).
Live and act
Wockatz attended elementary school in Rothnaußlitz from 1905 to 1913. From 1914 to 1915 he was trained at the Bautzen agricultural college. He then worked for a few months as an agricultural civil servant in the regional authority of Bautzen at the Klahre Economic Council in Preititz .
On December 14, 1916, Wockatz was called up to the 64th Field Artillery Regiment in Pirna and on March 21, 1917, transferred to the 28th Field Artillery Regiment in Bautzen, before joining the 48th Field Artillery Regiment on October 17, 1917 the front drew. During the war, Wockatz was awarded the Iron Cross II. Class and the Bronze Friedrich August Medal . On September 15, 1919 he was dismissed as a sergeant. From then on he earned his living as an estate inspector in Gersdorf in the Görlitz district, Nieder Horka in the Rothenburg district and in Arnsdorf and Hilbersdorf in the Görlitz district.
In the 1920s, Wockatz joined the NSDAP . On August 1, 1931, he became the local group leader of the party upper group Görlitz. In May 1932 he also took over the district leadership of the NSDAP in Upper Lusatia, which included the districts of Hoyerswerda , Rothenburg , Görlitz and Lauban . As a result of reorganization or reorganization of the party structure, Wockatz became the district leader of the Görlitz district on August 1, 1932. He held this post until May 25, 1934.
In the general election of July 1932, Wockatz was a candidate of the Nazi Party for the constituency 8 (Legnica) in the Reichstag voted, of which he was subsequently without interruption until May 1945th The most important parliamentary event in which Wockatz was involved during his time as a member of parliament was the passing of the Enabling Act in March 1933, which was also passed with his vote.
On May 25, 1934, Wockatz was appointed district leader of the Hoyerswerda district.
