Maximilian Blaimhofer

Maximilian Blaimhofer (also Blumhofer ; born March 15, 1759 in Munich ; † April 9, 1834 in Aachen ) was a German musician , actor , composer and writer .

Life

Blaimhofer was the son of a Thorzöllner. He attended the "electoral school house" (today Wilhelmsgymnasium Munich ) and graduated in 1776; there he excelled “excellently in poetry and music”. Around 1784 he went on trips to Mannheim , Düsseldorf , Vienna , and finally to Saint Petersburg , where he wrote and composed for the German theater there. He died in Aachen at the age of 77.
