Maximilian Schairer

Maximilian Schairer (born June 2, 1997 in Stuttgart ) is a German pianist .

Life

Schairer began playing the piano at the age of four. He received piano lessons at the Stuttgart Music School, a. a. with Monika Giurgiuman and from 2010 completed a young degree in historical keyboard instruments at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart with Jörg Halubek and at the same time for piano at the HMT Leipzig with Gerald Fauth.

From 2014 he studied at the University of Music and Theater in Munich . From 2010 to 2018 he also took part in the International Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg as well as in master classes , a. a. with András Schiff and Robert Levin . Artists like Martin Helmchen and Murray Perahia were also influential . Since 2017 he has been continuing his studies at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts with Michael Hauber .

Schairer won numerous prizes. He received scholarships a. a. from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben , the Hans- und Eugenia Jütting Stiftung, from the DAAD and the Deutschlandstipendium .

At the age of 12 he made his orchestral debut with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra . He has already given concerts in renowned concert halls in Europe, Indonesia and the USA . a. 2014 and 2015 in Carnegie Hall as well as at festivals such as the Salzburg Festival , the Ludwigsburg Castle Festival and the Lucerne Festival .

In 2019 he played with the Stuttgart Philharmonic and Jan Willem de Vriend at the Ansbach Theater and in the Beethovensaal of the Stuttgarter Liederhalle and represented the injured Dan Ettinger in the solo part of Haydn's Piano Concerto in D major.

Schairer is also the initiator and artistic director of the Stuttgart classical music festival "Zukunftsklang", founded in 2018.
