Mecseknádasd ( German Nadasch , 1903–1950: Püspöknádasd = Bisschofsnadasch , Croatian Nadoš ) is a municipality with a good 1,500 inhabitants (as of 2011) in Baranya County in southern Hungary . It is located at the foot of the eastern Mecsek Mountains on the main road 6.
The St. Stephan chapel from the 14th century is now a cemetery chapel. The bishop's castle and the neighboring granary were built in the Baroque style around 1770. The local history museum of the German minority with an exhibition of the former everyday life of the German population of the village and the surrounding area was opened in 1977. A short walk takes you to the ruins of Réka Castle, where Saint Margaret , Queen of Scotland, was born.
