Medium trio

The Medium-Terzett was a German music group in the field of hit and popular music from Osnabrück .

history

Helmut "Henry" Niekamp (* May 7, 1933 in Voxtrup , † November 24, 2015 in Osnabrück ), Wilfried Witte (* March 1, 1935 in Voxtrup) and Lothar Nitschke (* May 26, 1932 in Breslau , † October 2, 1999 in Osnabrück) 1954 at the fire brigade festival in Melle . 1960 was the trio of Peter Frankenfeld discovered for television.

In 1961 the Schlager musicians took part in the first German Schlager Festival in Baden-Baden . Her title South Sea Ballad reached the 6th place. In the same year they had one of their greatest hits: The whole boat is full of homesickness . Other hits followed, most of which were dedicated to the themes of the then successful Winnetou films ( The Treasure in Silbersee , Winnetou , Buffalo Bill ). At the Schlager Festival in 1965, her title Farewell Winnetou only came last. Another of her titles, On the Far Beach of Colorful Dreams , did not make it to the finals.

At the end of the 1960s, the medium trio had its greatest successes with the songs Ein Loch ist im Eimer and Drei Chinesen with the double bass . The song was sung in numerous variations, there are a number of different live recordings.

Until the 1980s, the trio was a regular guest on numerous television and radio programs, including with Dalli Dalli . In the program Zum Blauen Bock it held the record as the most frequent guest with 30 appearances.
