Meinhard von Lehndorff
Meinhard von Lehndorff (* December 27, 1590 ; † July 31, 1639 ) was a lieutenant colonel in Brandenburg as well as the governor and district administrator of Rastenburg .
Life
Meinhard was a member of the Prussian noble family Lehndorff on Steinort . His parents were the governor of Oletzko Sebastian von Lehndorff (1564-1610) and Judith von Kannacher (1566-1647).
He was hereditary lord of Steinort and Taberlack , and from 1620 also to Rogow, Lanewo, Jakuszowa etc. In the Brandenburg service Lehndorff advanced to the rank of lieutenant colonel and finally held the post of governor and district administrator of Rastenburg in Prussia.
Even if Meinhard was not the first of his line to be wealthy there, he is still considered the progenitor or founder of the Lehndorff-Steinort line, as all of the descendants of Lehndorff zu Steinort can be traced back to him. He was married to Freiin Elisabeth von Eulenburg (1605–1675) from 1623 . The marriage resulted in 14 children, including:
- Margarethe von Lehndorff, ∞ Johann von Klingsporn († 1685), colonel from Kurbrandenburg and regimental commander of the infantry regiment on foot (No. 1)
- Count Gerhard Ahasverus von Lehndorff (1637–1688), Polish Chamberlain , Danish Lieutenant General , Oberburggraf in the Duchy of Prussia , ∞I 1669 Anne Dorothea von Podewils († 1676), daughter of Otto Wilhelm von Podewils (1595–1657); ∞II 1678 Friederike Luise Wilhelmina von Schwerin (1660–1681); ∞III 1682 Maria Eleonore von Dönhoff (1664–1723)
