The Melbecke is a right tributary of the Elspebach in the area of the city of Lennestadt in the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The 5.2 km long stream has its source southwest of Obermelbecke and flows from there in a southwest direction through Melbecke . It crosses under the B 55 in Trockenbrück and then flows into the Elspebach. After a short run, this flows into the Lenne on the northeastern outskirts of Grevenbrück .
East of Melbecke is the 94.96 ha large nature reserve Melbecke and Rübenkamp .
