Melody Anderson (born December 3, 1955 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian actress .

Life

Melody Anderson gained a certain fame as a poster girl for the American tool company Rigid Tools , through which she got her engagement for the science fiction film Flash Gordon in 1980 , in which she played the female lead Dale Arden . This was followed by appearances in various series and in 1983 the lead role in the series Ein Fall für Professor Chase , which was canceled after a short time. After that she received only small roles in series and TV movies until 1986 in the comedy adventure barrage ( Firewalker ) with Chuck Norris and Louis Gossett Jr. occurred.

Prior to her acting career, she graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa with a degree in journalism . In 1997 she completed her training as a social worker at New York University and has since worked as a family and addiction therapist.
