Memorial Van Damme
The Memorial Van Damme is an athletics meeting that is held annually in August or September in the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels .
The memorial was organized for the first time in 1977 by a group of journalists in honor of Ivo Van Damme , who was killed in a car accident the year before. The meeting was part of the Golden Four from 1993 to 1997 . After that it was part of the Golden League and since 2010 it has been part of the Diamond League .
