Memphis Monroe (born March 23, 1985 in New Orleans , Louisiana ) is an American porn actress and actress . The first name is inspired by the protagonist of the movie Just 60 Seconds and the last name by Marilyn Monroe . Monroe has been married since 2006.
Career
Monroe grew up in Louisville , Kentucky , where she currently lives. She began working as a waitress at a Hooters restaurant when she was 16 . During this time, she posed for the Hooters calendar. She started working as a nude model when she was 18. In April 2005 she started her hardcore film career.
In May 2005, she posed for Hustler magazine and two months later she learned that she would be the cover model for the December issue of the magazine. In November 2005, she signed an exclusive contract with Hustler and became the second exclusive actress after Jessica Jaymes . In December 2006 her contract was renewed, but in August 2007 she left Hustler. On June 4, 2008, she made an appearance on the Howard Stern show. She has made about 110 films, in addition to Hustler, Digital Playground , Naughty America , Brazzers , Elegant Angel, Evil Angel and Wicked Pictures and has worked with directors such as Joey Silvera , Stormy Daniels , Axel Braun and Robby D. In 2010 she withdrew from the porn industry.
In 2010, she played the role of stripper Memphis , one of the murder victims , in the slasher film Lethal Obsession .
