Mere Jeevan Saathi is a Bollywood film with Rajesh Khanna and Tanuja in the leading roles. Although Rajesh Khanna rose to fame and was hugely popular with audiences in the early 1970s, the film flopped at the box office.

Prakash becomes a well-known painter and entertainer thanks to Kamini's help. He also impresses Jyoti, a pretty doctor who has just arrived from London . They meet regularly, and the first dates turn into a serious relationship. However, this also increases the jealousy of the unscrupulous Kamini.
When Prakash is on the way to Jyoti, he has a serious car accident. Coincidentally, he is found by Kamini, who has him brought to her palace and treated there. She forbids her private doctor and domestic worker to talk about the incident. Meanwhile, Jyoti is notified of Prakash's death. After a few days of medical treatment, it is found that Prakash has lost his sight.
Nevertheless, Prakash manages to escape and is caught by the officer Vinod, who is now engaged to Jyoti. Because of this fact, there is turbulence. Ultimately, true love wins, and thanks to Jyoti, Prakash regains his eyesight.
