The of Meyenn are a letter noble family from Mecklenburg , the progenitor of the very wealthy Bleichert Peter Meyenn is. From 1726 to 1750 he was general leaseholder of the offices of Stolpe , Clempenow , Verchen , Treptow , Lindenberg and Loitz in Western Pomerania and in 1747 acquired the manors Mellenthin , Dargen , Dewichow , Balm , Neuhof , Neukrug, Gothen and Ahlbeck on the island of Usedom .

His son, War Councilor Peter Ernst Meyenn , received the Prussian nobility on February 17, 1768 for himself and his four sons and three daughters from three illegitimate relationships. The recognition of this nobility in Mecklenburg-Schwerin took place on January 20, 1769. In 1794 (November 19) his natural daughter Friederike von Meyenn (* 1774) was raised to the imperial nobility in Vienna.
