Michael Adam Bergmann
Michael Adam von Bergmann (born August 15, 1733 in Munich ; † May 21, 1782 ibid) was a German historian, mayor and mayor of Munich.
Life
Michael Adam Bergmann was the son of a Munich wig maker . He graduated from the Jesuit high school in Munich in 1749 (today Wilhelmsgymnasium Munich ) and then studied law at the University of Ingolstadt . In 1759 he was accepted as one of the first full members of the historical class of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and in 1762 was appointed mayor. He wrote numerous historical essays.
Bergmann was married to Maria Adelheid, a daughter of the Munich builder and garden architect Joseph Effner . Bergmann's daughter Cäcilie († 1789) married Johann Nepomuk von Effner , who was also mayor and mayor of Munich. Bergmann died on May 21, 1782 of a sudden shock flow .
