Michael Coors

Michael Coors (* 1976 ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

He studied Protestant theology and philosophy in Bonn , Tübingen and Durham . From 2006 to 2008 he was vicar of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland . After completing his doctorate in systematic theology with Heinrich Assel ( Greifswald ) in 2008, he was a research assistant at the theological faculty of the University of Rostock from 2008 to 2010 . From January 2011 to summer 2019 he was theological consultant at the Center for Health Ethics at the Evangelical Academy Loccum and pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover . From 2012 to 2017 he held teaching positions in systematic theology at the Universities of Göttingen and Hanover . After his habilitation in 2018 in the subject of systematic theology with the thesis "Aging and Lifetime: Phenomenological and Theological Studies on the Anthropology and Ethics of Aging", he became a private lecturer in systematic theology at the University of Greifswald . In April 2019 he was appointed associate professor for theological ethics at the Theological Faculty of the University of Zurich and has been working at the university since August 2019.
