Michael Gundlach (born July 18, 1960 in Hamburg ) is a German musician and arranger .

Musical career

Michael Gundlach grew up in Hamburg-Lurup . At the age of eight he began to take lessons on the electronic organ and piano - with Erich Sendel and Asmus Hintz , among others . In 1972 he became European champion at the Yamaha Electone Festival in the junior class up to 16 years. Many concerts in and around Hamburg followed. In 1980 he became European champion at the Yamaha Electone Festival and took second place in the 1978 and 1980 World Championships in Japan . Concert tours through Germany , Sweden , Austria and Switzerland followed .

In 1983 Michael Gundlach joined the show band Belcantos and a year later he performed with the Finkwarder Speeldeel at concerts in Australia and Mexico . In the same year, the extensive musical collaboration with Rolf Zuckowski began . In 1986 he was the musical accompanist for ZDF broadcasts 1, 2 or 3 . In 1988 he worked as a keyboard player on the recordings for the CD "Sommerkinder". In 1998 he gave 27 concerts with Rolf Zuckowski at the children's and family festival days full of happy minutes on the Moselle . In July 2000 the tour We started here on the Elbe . They will be performing in 23 locations along the Elbe - from Cuxhaven to Mělník ( Czech Republic ).

In 2002 he took part in the recording of the live album Rolfs Zuckowski - 8 p.m. live in the Balver Höhle. In the same year he was awarded the Alster Frog Echo in Hamburg. In 2006 several evening concerts followed with the Zuckowski Band in Germany, Italy and Belgium.

In 2010, Gundlach performed as part of the concert tour "Rale's fairy tale music - The Elves and Fairies Tour 2010" along the fairy tale route together with Rale Oberpichler. The Hamburg singer is known to many as the voice of the bird mom in Rolf Zuckowski's bird wedding .

In 2012 he took part in six solo hands-on concerts at Sixdays Bremen .
