Michael Gundlach (born January 23, 1963 in Worms ) is a German musician , author and music teacher from the Palatinate .

Live and act

Michael Gundlach studied from 1984 to 1989 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim . Between 1986 and 1988 he worked as a pianist with the LandesJugendJazzOrchester Hessen . He had numerous engagements as a pianist and keyboardist in several musicals at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe , the Musical Theater Stuttgart and various pop, rock, soul and jazz bands with concerts and appearances at the largest German rock festivals such as Rock am Ring (Nürburgring 2001), Rock im Park (Nuremberg) and at jazz festivals in Frankfurt and Idstein. Tours at home and abroad followed, including two USA / Canada tours with the ERF studio choir . He has worked on various CD, radio and television productions and accompanies Heiko Bräuning's music sermons at the TV service hour of the highest of the Zieglers' institutions , which is broadcast on Bible TV , and performs with Heiko Bräuning at services , lectures , Bible weeks and women's breakfast meetings on. In 2012 he worked as a pianist at jazz church services as part of “Worms: Jazz & Joy”.

Gundlach is a music teacher , lecturer in many piano workshops and author of several music books. He is just as much at home in classical music as in jazz and blues . As a composer and arranger , he produced a number of instrumental CDs. The Happy Hour project was recorded in 1996 in the “Art of June” studio in Frankfurt. He worked here with artists such as Lisa Shaw (lead vocals), Tony Lakatos (saxophone), Peter Schulte (saxophone), Peter Schneider (guitar), Benjamin Wittiber (vibes), Helmut Jost (electric bass) and Kostas Karagiozidis (keyboards / Bass / drums / percussion) together.

Music publisher

In 1999 Gundlach founded his own music publisher under the name MIGU MUSIC, based in Frankenthal (Palatinate) . The publishing work began with the production and distribution of CDs with instrumental music and was expanded in 2005 due to his teaching activities to include several textbooks and playing literature for piano.
