Michael Hirschfeld

Michael Hirschfeld (born July 25, 1971 in Delmenhorst ) is a German historian .

Life

Michael Hirschfeld studied history and German at the University of Münster , where he passed the first state examination for teaching at grammar schools in 1997 . In 2001 he received his doctorate in Vechta . After taking the second state examination in 2003, he was a research assistant at the Institute for History and Historical Research (IGL) at Vechta University until 2009 . Since 2009 he has been teaching at the Lohne high school . After his habilitation in 2011 at the University of Vechta , he was awarded the title of private lecturer . Hirschfeld is a full member of the Historical Commission for Lower Saxony and Bremen and the Historical Commission for Silesia . His research focuses on contemporary church history, the regional history of northwest Germany and Silesia, church and state in the 19th and 20th centuries, the integration of displaced persons after 1945 and the history of education.
