Michael Joseph Curley

Michael Joseph Curley (born October 12, 1879 in Athlone , Ireland ; † May 16, 1947 ) was Archbishop of Baltimore .

Life

Michael Joseph Curley received on 19 March 1904, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 3, 1914 appointed him Pope Pius X to the Bishop of Saint Augustine . The Bishop of Savannah , Benjamin Joseph Keiley , ordained him episcopal on June 30 of that year ; Co- consecrators were Bishop of Wheeling , Patrick James Donahue , and Auxiliary Bishop in Baltimore, Owen Patrick Bernard Corrigan .

On August 10, 1921, Pope Benedict XV appointed him . to Archbishop of Baltimore. The inauguration took place on November 30 of the same year. Michael Joseph Curley was also Apostolic Administrator of Raleigh from December 12, 1924 to July 1, 1925 .
