Michael Landsky
Michael Landsky (* 1964 in Bremen ) is a German church musician and music teacher .
Life
Michael Landsky received his first musical training as a singer in the boys' choir of the Evangelical Church of Our Lady in Bremen and took organ lessons from the Osnabrück cathedral organist Winfried Schlepphorst during his school days . He received a place in the church music department at the Bremen University of the Arts . His teachers were u. a. Erich Ehlers, Gerd Erdmann and Rainer-Michael Munz . In 1986 he passed the B exam in Bremen. At the Robert Schumann University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf with Herbert Callhoff , Christoph Schoener and Wolfgang Seifen , the A-exam followed in 1993.
During his studies he was already active as a church musician at the Catholic Church of St. Marien in Bremen-Walle (1977–1987). At the Bremen Cathedral he supported the organist Wolfgang Baumgratz in performing the midday music (1983–1987). After working as a church musician in St. Kilian (Letmathe) and St. Nikolaus (Osterath) , he has been regional cantor for the city and district dean of Neuss since 1995 ; his office is at the Dreikönigenkirche . He is also a lecturer in the context of church music training in the Archdiocese of Cologne . In addition to his church music activities, he also performs concerts at home and abroad , with a focus on organ improvisation .
