Michael Poryes (born March 22, 1955 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American screenwriter , executive producer and dramaturge . He is considered to be the inventor of Raven Looks through and Hannah Montana .

life and career

Even before Poryes got into the film and television business, he made his living as a waiter . His actual career in television finally began in the early 1980s, when he was used as a screenwriter in a number of internationally known television series. Until about 1986 he was in only one or two episodes of series such as Love, Sidney (1982; 1 episode), The Jeffersons (1983; 1 episode), Imbiß mit Bß (1984; 1 episode), Love Boat (1985; 1 episode), A Colt for All Cases (1985; 1 episode) or Who's the boss here? Looking through the successes of Raven , Poryes soon invented the quickly popular children's and youth series Hannah Montana . In the series produced from 2006 to 2010, he was responsible for the concept in 90 of the 100 episodes and at the same time worked as executive producer in 84 episodes. He also held this position in 2009 at Hannah Montana - The Film , to which he also brought the characters through the series. Previously, he was already in the DVD production Hannah Montana: One in a Million committed (2008) and was also in the same year as a screenwriter and story writer in the DVD production Come Feud with Me: The Top 10 Disney Channel Character Feuds in use . The year before he delivered the characters for 17 episodes of Einfach Cory . For his engagement with Hannah Montana Poryes was nominated four times (2007-2010) for the Creative Arts Emmy , but could not accept the award and had to admit defeat to other productions every year.
