Michael Regner

Michael Regner (* 1986 in Bad Reichenhall ) is a German composer .

Life

Michael Regner studied school music and instrumental music education for percussion and singing at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg .

During his studies, he composed film scores for German short and long film productions. These include, for example, How you kiss (short film 2012, director: Eva Trobisch ), The path was his goal (documentary 2013, director: Christopher Dillig), and Meine Hütte (co-composition with Sebastian Pille , documentary BR 2013, director: Andrea Graas , Markus Frenzel ).

For the Sunday evening melodrama Der Weg nach San José , which was published on ZDF in 2014 and directed by Roland Suso Richter , he and Matthias Klein contributed the music for a television film for the first time.

Regner made his cinema debut in 2018 with the psychological thriller Freddy / Eddy (director: Tini Tüllmann ) and the road movie 303 by director Hans Weingartner .

His title song for the film 303 "Magnet Balls", sung by the singer Jana Iris, was nominated for the German Film Music Award 2018 in the category "Best Song".

For his composition O Magnum Mysterium for mixed choir a cappella , Regner was awarded the silver prize at the international composition competition of the Busan Choral Festival in South Korea in 2017 .
