Michael Ronca (born December 12, 1971 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
With the A-youth team from Bayer 04 Leverkusen , Ronca reached the final of the German A-youth championship 1987/88 under coach Jürgen Gelsdorf . In the final against VfB Stuttgart , Bayer had to admit defeat 1: 4 after a 1-0 lead by Marcus Feinbier . In the game, Ronca saw the red card .
He made the leap to the Fortuna Düsseldorf professional team in the 1991/92 season . Fortuna played in the Bundesliga , which this season consisted of 20 teams due to the reunification. In addition to Ronca, the Fortuna team included players such as goalkeeper Jörg Schmadtke , Michael Büskens , Christian Schreier and Thomas Allofs . After a disappointing season and three coach changes from Josef Hickersberger to Rolf Schafstall and Hans-Jürgen Gede to Horst Köppel , Ronca made two short appearances on the 35th and 37th matchday. Both games were lost and Fortuna was relegated from bottom of the table. In the following season in the 2nd Bundesliga Ronca came to five missions; the Fortuna again occupied a relegation place in the final table. He moved within the Oberliga Nordrhein to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . Oberhausen had just been promoted and finished in 10th place in the table at the end of the season. Ronca's old employer Fortuna became champions and returned to professional football. After two years in Oberhausen and 30 missions, Ronca moved to FC Remscheid and later to FC Wegberg-Beeck , where he played until 2003. He let his career come to an end as a player-coach for the district division 1. FC Monheim .
