Michael Thomas (screenwriter)
Michael C. Thomas is an Australian screenwriter .
Life
Thomas grew up in Sydney, Australia .
He later settled in the United States , where he wrote for magazines such as Life , Esquire , Harper's Bazaar , Playboy , Penthouse , The New York Times and Rolling Stone . He wrote about Caribbean topics for Rolling Stone .
In 1982 he made his debut as a screenwriter with the template for the music film Countryman - Lost in the jungle . Numerous other scripts for films such as Desire , The Day of the Falcon and Scandal followed .
For The Day of the Falcon , Thomas was nominated for the 1986 Hugo Award together with Richard Donner , Edward Khmara , Tom Mankiewicz and David Webb Peoples in the category Best Dramatic Presentation .
