Michael consecration
Michael Weihe (born March 26, 1961 in Halle ; † June 27, 2012 in Leipzig ) was a German sculptor .
Growing up in Brehna , where his father ran a stonemasonry, he first learned the stonemasonry, then studied sculpture with Bernd Göbel at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art in Halle and graduated with a diploma. Then he worked as a freelance artist in Brehna. He created numerous sculptures, monuments and fountains, many in public spaces. He is the brother of the sculptor Christoph Weihe .
In 1992 he received the Gustav Weidanz Prize for plastic .
