Michaela Wessely (born November 1, 1995 in Dresden ) is a former German volleyball player .

Career

Wessely came to volleyball through a sighting at the sports high school in Dresden . In 2013 she moved to Schwerin to finish her school days at the Schwerin sports high school and play in the junior team VCO Schwerin in the 2nd German Volleyball Bundesliga (North) . For the 2015/16 season she received a professional contract for the first team of Schweriner SC and was second setter behind Denise Hanke , but did not get enough game shares. In the second leg against 1. VC Wiesbaden she was named the best player of the game for the first time. With Schweriner SC she reached the playoff semifinals of the Bundesliga, which was lost to Allianz MTV Stuttgart , and also the semifinals of the CEV Cup . Then Wessely switched to Bundesliga promoted Schwarz-Weiss Erfurt . Parallel to her volleyball career, she completed training as a physiotherapist in order to be able to start studying medicine in the long term. In 2018 Wessely had to end her career due to an injury.
