description
The massive hall church on the slope with a western roof tower was built from 1754 to 1756 in simple peasant baroque instead of a pre-Reformation chapel . Parts of the older building have been reused. The nave has a slate mansard roof . The tower has a hood on which an open lantern sits. The portal is reached via an extension . There is a wooden belfry next to the church .
The interior has two-story galleries . It is covered with a wooden flat ceiling. The pulpit altar from the middle of the 18th century was created by Johann Jeremias Daniel from Leutenberg. It is decorated with rocailles . To the right of the altar is a bell that was cast by Adolf Erdmann in the ironworks in Katzhütte in 1815. When her clapper broke, it was removed. However, it was not melted down, but hung in a wooden belfry next to the altar. The baptismal font is from 1742.
The organ prospect shows stylistic features of the Rococo . The organ with 17 registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal , was built in 1757 by Johann Michael Wagner .
In 1803 and 1986 the church was renovated.
