Michel Acosta , full name David Michel Acosta Márquez , (born February 14, 1988 in Paysandú ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
The 1.87 meter tall midfielder Acosta comes from the youth department of Estudiantil de Paysandú . In April 2005 he is listed as a player for Paysandú FC . In the 2005/06 season he ran there in five first division games (no goal). He was part of the squad of the first division club Liverpool Montevideo from August 2006 and thus in the 2006/07 seasons up to and including 2010/11 . In the first two seasons he was used eight times or three times in the Primera División - each without a personal goal . In 2008/09 he met once in three league appearances. He also played twelve (no goal) and eleven (two goals) first division games with the Montevideans in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons. He was also used in two games (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana and one encounter (no goal) of the Copa Libertadores . In August 2011 he left the Liverpool Fútbol Club and joined the Iranian club Gahar Zagros . In October of the following year he returned to Uruguay and was henceforth in the ranks of the Club Atlético Atenas . He left the second division in July 2013 to join the Cypriot club AEK Kouklion . For the team of the team from Kouklia he played in 27 league games and scored three goals. He also completed an encounter in the national cup competition. At Apertura 2014 he returned to the first division club Atlético Atenas. In the 2014/15 season he was used 24 times (five goals) in the Primera División at the club from San Carlos . In early July 2015, he moved to Murciélagos FC . For the Mexican club, he played 51 first division games (four goals) and was used four times (no goal) in the Copa México . He returned to Liverpool Montevideo in late July 2017.
National team
Acosta was a member of the Uruguayan U-16 team coached by Ángel Castelnoble and Gustavo Ferrín , which took part in the U-16 South American Championship in Paraguay in 2004 and finished fourth. He was part of the U-17 selection of Uruguay , which took part in the U-17 South American Championship in Venezuela in 2005 and was vice-South American champion. He was also part of the squad at the U-17 World Cup in Peru in 2005 . There he was used in the group matches against the Mexican, Turkish and Australian selection. He didn't score a goal.
