Michel Ligonnet

Michel Ligonnet (born January 8, 1962 in Boulogne-sur-Mer ) is a former French racing driver and the son of René Ligonnet .

Career

Michel Ligonnet was best known as a sports car driver to a broader motorsport public. In 1995 he made his debut for the German racing team Freisinger Motorsport at the Le Mans 24-hour race . His partners were the German Wolfgang Kaufmann and the Japanese Yukihiro Hane . At the end of the race, the trio came in 19th overall.

In addition to his various engagements at Le Mans, where 17th overall positions in 1998 and 2001 were his best results, the Frenchman also competed in races in the BPR Global GT Series and the FIA GT Championship . His best result was a third place in Monza in 1999.
