René Ligonnet
René Ligonnet (born December 16, 1936 ) is a former French racing driver and the father of Michel Ligonnet .
Racing career
René Ligonnet was active as a driver for four decades. He contested his first race in 1962, his last in 2000. In between there were 21 years of absence, when he did not race between 1973 and 1994. In the 1960s he sporadically competed in Formula 3 races , including a Brabham BT21 at the 1968 Solitude race .
He started three times in the Le Mans 24-hour race . In 1972 he and Barrie Smith won a class on a Lola T290 . In 1998 he returned to the racetrack and drove GT races . His last appearance was in the 6-hour race at Vallelunga in 2000 , which he finished seventeenth overall.
