The Michelbach is a 5.3 km long orographic left tributary of the Radenbach in Niederraden in Rhineland-Palatinate , Germany .

geography

The Michelbach rises about 1.1 km west of Weidingen at an altitude of 433  m above sea level. NHN . From here it initially flows in a south-westerly direction. After about 500 m of the river, the brook turns in a southerly direction and flows through Utscheid on about half of its way . Here the Michelbach turns again to the southwest. After a river stretch of 5.3 km, the Michelbach flows out at 282  m above sea level. NHN on the left in the Radenbach. With a height difference of 151 m, the mean bed slope is 28.5 ‰.

The Michelbach has a catchment area of 5.914 km² , which is drained to the North Sea via Radenbach, Enz , Prüm , Sauer , Moselle and Rhine .

A few short tributaries, which are unnamed except for the Hatzenborn, flow towards the Michelbach . The Rhineland-Palatinate Water Management Authority does not provide online data on these tributaries.
